Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil


One of the most famous Hindu temples in Sri Lanka, dedicated to Lord Murugan (Skanda). The temple is known for its majestic Dravidian-style towers (gopurams), golden arches, and vibrant festivals.

Jaffna Fort


Originally built by the Portuguese in 1618, later expanded by the Dutch and British. Today, the fort’s massive walls, gates, and bastions still stand, offering a glimpse into colonial history. Visitors enjoy walking along the ramparts for panoramic views of Jaffna Lagoon.

Casuarina Beach


One of the most popular beaches in the Jaffna Peninsula. Known for its calm, shallow waters, soft sand, and rows of casuarina trees, it’s ideal for swimming and relaxing.

Jaffna Public Library


Built in 1933, the Jaffna Public Library is a cultural landmark and one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. Once among Asia’s largest libraries, it was tragically destroyed in 1981 but later restored to its former glory.
